TWINS tickets: Every student and staff member is invited to take advantage of tickets being offered them by Comfrey Public School. The game vs. Detroit Tigers is May 23, at 12:10 p.m. Cost is $10. Order forms have been handed out and must be returned by April 9, checks made payable to Comfrey Public School. Please go to the office and pick up a form if you did not get one, thank you.
Senior Photos are due to Mrs. Tews or Mrs. Sellner by March 23, for the Brown County Publication. The Lifetouch photos will be used in the event that we do not have a photo submitted by March 23.

Applications are available for the Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund. Offered to high school seniors who are planning to attend FT at US accredited 4-year college or university, have demonstrated leadership, have at least a CUM GPA of 3.0 or higher, etc.

Brown County Rural Electrical Association (REA) is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity. Five (5) $200 scholarships will be awarded to students whose parents/guardians are members and live in Brown County REA's service area. More information and the application is available on the REA website at http://www.browncountyrea.coop.

The Comfrey Area Dollars for Scholars scholarship application is available.
This $1000 scholarship is available to the class of 2018. All applicants MUST complete a personal profile on http://comfreyarea.dollarsforscholars.org AND complete the scholarship application online. In addition, a hard copy of the completed application is due by Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

The Mary Lou & Richard Mathiowetz scholarship application is available to seniors. This $1000.00 scholarship may be used for the college of his/her choice. The recipient is chosen on the basis of individual character and recommendations. The scholarship is intended to go to students majoring in the following fields and in this order: Priority 1-Engineering; Priority 2-Agricultural focus; Priority 3-Business/Administration. Application is due April 9, 2018. Please see Mrs. Tews.
The Robert and Marynelle Samuelson Memorial Scholarship application is available to Comfrey seniors. The scholarship will be awarded to students choosing to pursue education after high school at a college or technical institution. Selection is based on an applicant's financial need and on qualities that are demonstrated: personal integrity, commitment to education, willingness to work hard, and service to others. Please see Mrs. Tews. Application is due by April 13, 2018.
Kyle Kopischke Baseball Memorial Scholarship Comfrey seniors active in baseball are eligible to apply for this $1000 scholarship. The scholarship is based on individual character and sportsmanship, academic performance, participation in extra curricular and community activities, recommendations and an essay written by the applicant. Students will receive the scholarship after successful completion of their first semester at a post-secondary institution.
Please pick up an application from Mrs. Tews. Application is due April 16. 2018.
The Murthy & Chisey Hansen Medical Scholarship is available to Comfrey High School seniors who will be entering a college/technical school in a health-related area.

The Darfur Sportsman Scholarship application is available to graduating seniors. Please see Mrs. Tews. Applicants MUST complete the Dollars for Scholars application before applying for this scholarship. Application is due April 20, 2018.
The Mayo Healthcare Foundation (formerly Springfield Area Healthcare Foundation) scholarship applications for 2018 are available from Mrs. Tews. Scholarships are available to high school seniors or graduates who are planning to pursue a career in a healthcare field. Seniors/graduates from Comfrey H.S., Springfield H.S., Red Rock Central H.S., Cedar Mt. H.S., and Wabasso H.S. are eligible to apply. Leavenworth Youth Baseball & Softball:
Please contact a coach to register or to ask about playing for youths K-6 boys and girls, and 7-10 grade girls. Info sheets will be handed out to grades K-6. Girls grades 7-10 need to stop in the office.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Windom Wetland Management District is recruiting for candidates for the 2018 Youth Conservation Corps program. There are four positions and eligible youth ages 15 to 18 are encouraged to apply.
