Assignments: Assignments: Welcome to our trial of an online snow day. This will be a great opportunity for us to use technology to keep things moving along. Although rehearsing as a choir is not an option today I hope you remember that actively listening to music and commenting on it are great ways to enhance your own performance. Your 8-12 choir assignment for today is to listen to Over the Rainbow arranged by Andy Beck on either YouTube or jwpepper.com Please make sure it is an Andy Beck arrangement. After you have listened to it once please listen again taking notes on how the performers form vowels, their entrances and exits, expression, mood, feeling, balance and blend of the ensemble. Once you have taken the notes write a half page on what you heard that would be helpful to us to remember as we learn this piece of music. You will be required to turn in this half page by April 5 to or you may email it to me at alee@comfrey.mntm.org |
