You may have received a letter from Immtrack stating that your child needs certain immunizations. Please let me clarify. Sixth grade students are required by law to have a Tdap, a Menactra, and 2 Varicella or the date of chicken pox, noted by a physician, before entering  7th grade. The Hepatitis A and HPV are recommended but not required.
All 7-12 graders currently have all the required vaccines they need for school, but you as parents may choose to have your student get the Menactra, Hepatitis A, or HPV if you choose to. The fall of 2014 will be the first year that Menactra for meningitis is required for 7th graders. Many 7th and 8th graders have received this vaccine, but if you have an older high school student, they may not have gotten one.
There will be a free immunization clinic here at school on Thursday, April 3rd  from 12:30 to 3 pm.    Completed forms should be turned into the school office by Thursday, March 27th so we know how many to prepare for.
If you have questions, please contact Elen Stark, PHN on Thursday mornings or you can call Brown County Public Health at 507-233-6820 for more information.
