I thoroughly enjoy being the administrator here at Comfrey. I spent most of my school years in western North Dakota in a tiny town called Taylor. The school there was about the same size as Comfrey, so I feel very much at home here. This is my tenth year at Comfrey, and I love being in a small school in a small rural community. Not only because it's just like the communities I grew up in, but because people both in the school and community care for each other and watch out for each other. The staff truly wants every student to be successful, and they frequently go above and beyond what's expected to be there for students. We've worked hard here to offer opportunities for our students. We currently have three college courses offered in collaboration with SMSU, and we have recently developed a Workbased Learning Program that gives students the opportunity to explore careers and gain some work experience before they graduate.
