MCA/MTAS
Minnesota’s statewide tests are objective, standardized measures of student achievement on academic or proficiency standards. Students, families, teachers and administrators use statewide test results as part of a comprehensive system for evaluating learning. The standards-based accountability assessments are aligned to the Minnesota Academic Standards and the primary purpose of the assessments is to measure achievement on these standards. MCA tests are required by the state. Results will be made available in late August although preliminary results may be shared with students.

NWEA (MAP)
MAP is a norm-referenced measure of student growth over time. MAP assessments, joined with other data points, provide detailed, actionable data about where each child is on his or her unique learning path. Results are available immediately and will be shared with parents in a timely manner. These tests are required only by our district.
