Registration is open for all Minnesota high school students wanting to attend MN's Virtual College Exploration. Sign-up to virtually connect with colleges and universities from around the country for free ​March 9-11, 2021. The program will also include college knowledge sessions on topics such as finding a college that fits, paying for college, and writing a college essay presented by college admission counselors.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Windom Area Health Foundation is awarding several $1,000 continuing education scholarships to local students interested in pursuing a career in a healthcare field. Applications should be completed online through the Sanford Health website.  See Ms. Palm for any questions.  Deadline: April 11, 2021.

Minnesota Association of Soil & Water Conservation is offering two scholarships for seniors who reside in the Area VI region.  Interested seniors should see Ms. Palm for a n application or check out their website at http://brownswcdmn.org/scholarship-opportunity for more information.  Deadline:  April 15, 2021.


Graduating seniors may apply for the Comfrey Area Dollars for Scholars scholarship.
Applicants must complete a hard and online copy. Applications are due on May 8th. 


An annual $500 scholarship is available through The Darfur Sportsman Club. All graduates who have submitted a complete and acceptable application will be considered. To apply, complete the Dollars for Scholars application form (hard copy and online) and include a brief essay explaining why the environment is important to you and what you can do to preserve and improve the situation. Deadline is May 8th.


The Kyle Kopischke Baseball Memorial Scholarship application is available. A hard copy and online application must be completed by May 8th including a written recommendation (non-relative), an essay entitled: “What the Sport of Baseball has taught me,” and a resume of achievements and involvements in grades 9-12.

The Robert G. Samuelson Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a Comfrey High School alumnus, local farmer, and former teacher and school board member. This scholarship of $500 per year for a maximum of four years, will be awarded to students choosing to pursue education after high school at a college or technical institution. Selection will be based on an applicant's financial need and on qualities of: personal integrity, commitment to education, willingness to work hard, and service to others. To apply, complete a Comfrey Area Dollars for Scholars application form and include an essay that answers the question: “What characteristic do you possess and will continue to demonstrate to become a successful provide citizen in the 21st century?” A hard copy and online application must be completed by May 8th.

The Lefler/Bean Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 is available through Dollars for Scholars. To apply for this scholarship, complete the Comfrey Area Dollars for Scholars application form and online. Also include a brief essay that answers the following question: "Why in the 21st century, is it important to graduate from high school and pursue a degree from a post-secondary institution?" Application deadline is May 8th

A $1000.00 scholarship has been created through Comfrey Dollars for Scholars by Wingert Realty & Land Services Inc./Charles & RoseLynn Wingert.  Applicants must complete the Dollars for Scholars application by May 8th.  

Graduating seniors may apply for the Mary Lou & Richard Mathiowetz Family Scholarship. Applicants must complete the online Dollars for Scholars requirement before applying. Application is due on May 8th.


PB & J Scholarship - for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically.  Apply at bit.ly/pbjscholarship2021 ; For more information, see Ms. Palm.  Deadline:  May 21, 2021
